WHO WE ARE

The ACORN Arts Project is a registered non-profit community outreach art organization that runs free and accessible Art Studio educational spaces for those in need. We offer inclusive studio art sessions for individuals living in marginalized communities in Toronto.

WHAT WE DO

“Planting the seeds of connection through art making”

ACCESSIBLE ART

Through collaborative work in a safe and creative environment, we offer a space where individuals can build new relationships, learn new skills and grow in self-confidence.

We believe that art-making is an innate ability for all people to explore and that it has the ability to empower and connect communities, foster acceptance and growth. We use the arts to break through stigma and to foster a genuine human connection. Our art sessions focus around beautification of community spaces and each program ends with an Art Walk where we open our doors to the surrounding neighbourhood.

We see our future as a place where spaces for the creative process are available to all. Where communities are strong and people do not experience isolation. We are committed to nurturing and spreading our creative mission.
